agentlens
An open-source observability and audit tool for AI agent teams to produce traceable event logs, audit trails, and real-time runtime dashboards.
Tool overview
The current judgment is: promising but very early in terms of evidence. What we can support comes mainly from the project's own GitHub description, which clearly positions agentlens as an observability and audit-trail layer for AI agents, with MCP-native support, tamper-evident event logging, and a real-time dashboard. What we cannot yet support are claims about production maturity, performance, ecosystem breadth, or real-world adoption.
In practice, this looks more like infrastructure for runtime traceability and auditing of agent systems, not a tool that builds agents for you, trains models, or replaces a full application monitoring suite. A better analogy is a logging/tracing plus audit layer for AI-agent workflows, especially where teams need records of tool calls, event chains, and operational history. If your main need is compliance visibility, debugging, or replay-style investigation, the positioning makes sense.
On cost and adoption barrier, the evidence only supports that it is open source. There is no reliable evidence for hosted plans, commercial pricing, API fees, or production guarantees, so none of those should be assumed.
