AutoGLM ChenSi
A free Deep Research agent with browser control, mainly helping users turn multi-step web search and information gathering into organized research notes and draft reports.
Tool overview
Based on the available evidence, AutoGLM ChenSi is best judged as a promising Chinese Deep Research agent worth trying, but not yet something that clearly replaces human research or a mature enterprise research stack. The attention signal is strong: there are many Zhihu discussions and X reposts around its launch. However, proof of usefulness comes mostly from a small number of hands-on tests, tutorials, and experience posts, so the evidence base is still limited and includes explicit reservations.
Its real role is not a general chatbot, and not a pure RPA automation tool either. A more accurate analogy is a research-oriented agent with web browsing and browser-operation ability, closer to Deep Research or a research language model than to task-agent products often compared with Manus. Evidence suggests it can break down open-ended tasks, search multiple sources, browse pages, and generate report-style outputs. But at least one hands-on review noted that some sources came from platforms like Zhihu and Xiaohongshu, which means outputs for academic or industry-grade research still need human verification.
