Tool overview

Based on the available evidence, Casebook looks more like an early open-source project worth watching than a broadly validated standard tool. Proof of attention mainly comes from its public GitHub repo with a small number of stars/forks and one Chinese article introducing the concept. That shows emerging interest, but not broad proof of reliability, adoption, or measurable workflow gains. Proof of usefulness is currently limited to the repo positioning and the article’s workflow description; independent hands-on reports are still scarce.

Its practical role is not to replace testers, and it is not best understood as a generic low-code testing platform. A more accurate analogy is a “test-case engineering workspace.” The evidence suggests it connects AI coding agents that help understand requirements, generate cases, and refactor cases with human review, tagging, execution, and reporting.
