Tool overview

Adoption judgment: Claudish is worth a small trial if you already use Claude Code and want to experiment with other models in the same coding workflow. The available evidence mainly shows attention, however, not reliable proof that it works consistently on complex projects or across many model providers.

In practical terms, it is best understood as a model-switching or adaptation tool for Claude Code workflows. X examples show a user invoking Gemini with claudish --model for a UI design agent and describing Codex as useful for finding and fixing React code. These examples suggest a workflow in which different models can be assigned to different tasks, but they are short community demonstrations and personal judgments rather than broad capability tests. Claudish is not itself a foundation model, nor is it a full cloud IDE with its own editor, deployment, or collaboration suite; a more accurate comparison is a CLI adapter for AI coding-agent workflows.

The main barrier is understanding Claude Code workflows and configuring the relevant model or CLI connections.
