Tool overview

coolify-mcp is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server tailor‑made for Coolify. It exposes 42 optimized tools that let AI assistants directly operate your self‑hosted PaaS – from creating applications and setting environment variables to managing domains and controlling services – all through conversational commands. The primary benefit is a drastically lowered barrier to infrastructure management. Instead of navigating Coolify’s web UI or memorizing API endpoints, you can say “deploy a Next.js app and attach example.com” to a supported AI client. Because it adheres to the open MCP standard, the server can be integrated into tools like Claude Desktop or VS Code, enriching existing workflows without breaking the developer’s flow. However, the tool is tightly coupled to the Coolify ecosystem. You must already run a healthy Coolify instance and be able to deploy and maintain the MCP server itself. Changes to Coolify’s API may break the tools until the project catches up, and granting an AI assistant direct infrastructure access introduces risks of misconfiguration – a safe, scoped permission model and dry‑run testing are strongly advised.
