Tool overview

Based on the current evidence, CubeSandbox is best viewed as a project worth evaluating, especially for infrastructure-oriented teams, rather than a default choice already proven by many independent production cases. The heat signal is strong: the GitHub repo shows fast star and fork growth, and several highly reshared X posts repeat claims such as 60ms cold starts, roughly 5MB memory overhead, and high density on a single node. But those are proofs of attention, not proofs of broad reliability. Stronger evidence for capability comes from the official GitHub repository, project updates, and a small number of longer Zhihu writeups and tutorials; independent hands-on tests and long-term benchmarks still look limited.

In practice, the evidence supports CubeSandbox as an execution layer for agent code, tool calls, and isolation of untrusted tasks. It is not a chat-agent framework, not a workflow orchestrator, and not a general-purpose container control plane. A better analogy is a lightweight VM-style sandbox service for agent workloads.
