Tool overview

Based on the current evidence, holaOS should be viewed as a promising open-source agent workspace with strong attention, not yet as a fully validated mature productivity suite. GitHub stars and the official X launch post are proof of interest, not proof of day-to-day reliability. Evidence that would better support usability and production readiness—independent tests, tutorials, and long-form reviews—is still limited, so adoption should be optimistic but cautious.

Its practical role is closer to an “agent computer” or operating layer for agents: a unified environment where Claude Code-, Codex-, or similar agents can work across browser, files, apps, and 100+ integrations with MCP and shared memory. It is not just another model, not a classic RPA tool, and not a simple chat assistant. A more accurate comparison is a cross-tool workspace shell for AI agents that need persistent context and action surfaces.

On cost and setup, the evidence only supports that it is open source and supports built-in or BYOK models.
