Those are proof of popularity, not proof of reliable usefulness in live trading. Stronger evidence for capability comes from paper/README-style explanations, technical writeups about its tokenization approach, and a small amount of fine-tuning/testing content, though the sample is still limited.

In practice, Kronos is not a magic stock-picking bot. Its role is to treat candlestick data as a pretrainable language: encode OHLC-like features, quantize them into tokens, and use them for tasks such as direction prediction, volatility modeling, or synthetic sequence generation. A better analogy is an open financial time-series foundation model or research backbone, not a retail charting app and not a ready-made auto-trading system. For teams that already know how to fine-tune, validate, and backtest, it can shorten the path from raw K-line data to experiments.
