Based on the available evidence, LingBot-VLA 2.0 is worth tracking as a serious open-source embodied foundation model for research and downstream development, but it should not be treated as a plug-and-play robot application. It is not a chatbot, robot-ops SaaS, or a general simulation tool; a better analogy is an open VLA backbone plus training and finetuning recipes for multiple robot embodiments.
Its practical value is in mapping different robot morphologies into a unified action representation and pushing one 6B-scale model to cover dual arms, mobile bases, heads, waists, grippers, and dexterous hands. Several Zhihu writeups mention support for 20+ robot configurations, a 55D canonical action space, whole-body control, and current/future queries distilled from depth and video representations. Those sources are useful for judging capability direction. By contrast, X engagement and reposts mainly prove attention, not deployment quality.
As for barriers and cost, the evidence points more to research engineering than productized delivery.
