Mockzilla

Adoption judgment for now: treat Mockzilla as an interesting early-stage open-source API mocking project, not yet a broadly validated infrastructure choice. The evidence base is extremely limited. We mainly have the GitHub repository wording, which supports its positioning and open-source status, but does not prove reliability, maintenance quality, ecosystem depth, or real-world adoption.

In practical terms, it appears to be a tool for spinning up callable fake API endpoints quickly for MVPs, frontend/backend parallel development, demos, or testing endpoints inside AI agent and MCP workflows. It is not a full API gateway, not a production-grade service virtualization platform, and not the same category as a broad API collaboration suite like Postman. A more accurate comparison is a lightweight mock endpoint server aimed at fast prototyping.

On cost and barrier: the only supported claim is that it is open source and available on GitHub. There is no official pricing, hosted plan, API fee, or enterprise support information in the evidence, so total cost should be treated as unknown.
