Based on the current evidence, this looks like a promising early-stage plugin to watch, but there is not enough support to say it is widely adopted or clearly better than alternatives. The evidence is almost entirely the project's own GitHub repository text, which supports its local-first positioning and claimed feature scope. However, there are not enough third-party tests, tutorials, long-form reviews, or sustained community reports, so both “attention proof” and “usability proof” remain weak, and any adoption judgment should stay conservative.

In practice, it appears to function more like an integration layer that adds local AI capabilities to Obsidian, not a general cloud AI assistant and not a standalone model-training platform. A more accurate analogy is “an AI workbench inside Obsidian that connects local LLMs, RAG, vault tools, MCP services, and editing workflows.” If the repository description is accurate, it is mainly for asking questions over your notes, retrieving local context, invoking vault-related tools, and automating parts of a private note workflow without relying on the cloud.
