Stable Chat

Stable Chat is a research preview chat interface launched by Stability AI, designed to let the AI community interactively evaluate its large language models (e.g., StableLM). Current online discussion is extremely limited—only a Chinese AI tool navigation site and a news article from 2023 mention it, with no user tests, comparisons, or tutorials available. Therefore, we conservatively judge that it has not yet established a mature product ecosystem and is currently better suited for short-term academic curiosity or research exploration rather than a production-ready assistant. In practical use, the site allows users to converse with models like StableLM and test responses in dimensions such as safety, bias, and factuality. Stability AI collects such interactions to refine the model and align it with community expectations. Casual users can try basic Q&A or text generation, but capabilities are likely constrained by the research model's scale and training data, and cannot match dedicated tools for customer service, writing, or coding. No plugins, system prompts, or advanced settings have been noted.
