video-shotcraft
An open-source skill for Claude Code and Codex that helps developers and solo creators turn product inputs into storyboards, motion design, and Remotion-based promo video outputs.
Tool overview
If you already use Claude Code or Codex for agent workflows, video-shotcraft looks worth trying; if you want a one-click text-to-video SaaS, it is not that. Based on the evidence, the better analogy is a “director playbook plus Remotion implementation kit for coding agents,” not an end-to-end video generator like Runway or Pika.
Its practical value is in structuring common product-video patterns. Multiple posts repeatedly mention 106 shot recipe cards, 162 styles, 161 motion previews, and a ready-made template with replaceable assets. The recurring claim is that an agent can handle storyboard planning, motion rhythm, sound-design direction, and Remotion execution for SaaS intros, feature demos, and open-source project promos. For evidence quality, the “proof of attention” is strong because X reposts and views are high; the “proof of usefulness” is weaker but not absent, with at least a small hands-on mention of combining it with archify in a demo-video pipeline.
On barrier and cost, the safest claim is that the project is open source and the repo is publicly shared.
